The TWEKO KF series spray booth is a versatile industrial system designed for applying and drying coatings on products made of metal, wood, plastic and other materials. The booth creates a controlled working environment with intensive air exchange, filtered air and regulated temperature, helping achieve consistently high surface quality.
The KF series is available in various dimensions and configurations and can be adapted to specific production requirements. In its standard configuration, the booth is equipped with a PLC programmable logic controller that automatically manages painting, purging, drying and cooling cycles.
Applications
- Industrial manufacturing plants
- Metalworking facilities and workshops
- Furniture and woodworking production
- Automotive service and repair facilities
- Coating of metal, wood, plastic and other products
Coating Materials
The booth can be used with a wide range of coating materials, including primers, paints, enamels, lacquers and water-based coatings. Controlled conditions inside the working area help achieve even coating application and reduce the risk of surface defects caused by dust or contamination.
Ventilation and Air Exchange
- Air exchange during painting: up to 200 air changes per hour
- Air exchange during drying: up to 100 air changes per hour
- Supply ventilation with multi-stage EU5 filtration
- Exhaust system with dry two-stage EU3 filtration
- Positive pressure maintained inside the working area
Filtered and heated air is evenly supplied into the working area. Positive pressure created by the balanced supply and exhaust systems reduces the ingress of dust from the surrounding production environment. Contaminated air containing paint overspray passes through the exhaust filtration system before leaving the booth.
Operating Modes
- Painting: intensive supply of filtered air and removal of paint overspray
- Purge: removal of residual overspray and solvent vapours from the working area
- Drying: maintenance of operator-defined temperature and process time
- Cooling: reduction of product and booth temperature after the drying cycle
Heating System
Depending on the selected configuration, the booth can be equipped with different supply-air heating systems:
- Diesel-fired heat exchanger
- Gas-fired heat exchanger
- Hot-water heat exchanger
- Electric heat exchanger
Construction and Equipment
- Sandwich-panel booth with non-combustible mineral-wool insulation
- Sealed doors with perimeter sealing
- Supply and exhaust ventilation systems
- Multi-stage filtration system
- Explosion-protected LED lighting providing at least 800 lux
- PLC controller with temperature and pressure sensors
- Operating-hour counter and automatic process-cycle control
Main Benefits
- Versatility: suitable for different materials and coating systems
- Finish quality: clean air and stable working conditions
- Productivity: intensive air exchange supports faster processing
- Automation: PLC control of the main operating modes
- Energy efficiency: automatic process control helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption
- Flexibility: choice of dimensions, heating system and equipment package
Safety
- Construction made from non-combustible materials
- Explosion-protected fans and key ventilation components
- Automatic interlock prevents paint or compressed-air supply if ventilation stops
- Automatic temperature and pressure monitoring
- Optional automatic fire suppression system
TWEKO KF series spray booths are available in different sizes and configurations and can be tailored to the product dimensions, production process and coating technology required by the customer.
