The TWEKO MKFS series mobile paint-and-dry booth is a compact industrial solution for applying and drying coatings on large products where production space is limited. The booth features a retractable portal enclosure that can be deployed quickly without special equipment and occupies minimal floor space when folded.
The design allows a complete painting and drying area to be created without permanently dedicating a large section of the workshop to a fixed booth. The enclosure can be extended directly around the product, which can be positioned using an overhead crane, forklift or transfer trolley. The booth provides a complete process cycle including painting, purging, drying at temperatures up to 60 °C and cooling.
Applications
- Large steel structures
- Machine and special-purpose vehicle components
- Industrial equipment
- Frames, platforms and welded structures
- Products that are difficult to move into a stationary spray booth
- Production areas with limited available floor space
Mobile Retractable Design
The working enclosure is based on a steel portal structure mounted on wheels and covered with a durable non-combustible material. To prepare the booth for operation, the enclosure is extended along the product to create an isolated working area.
- Deployment by two operators in approximately 2–3 minutes
- No special lifting equipment required for deployment
- Compact dimensions when folded
- Efficient use of paint-shop floor space
- Installation on a level floor without a dedicated foundation
Ventilation and Filtration
The ventilation system provides a uniform flow of filtered air through the working area, contains paint overspray and removes contaminated air through the exhaust system. Uniform airflow around the product improves coating conditions and supports efficient drying.
The exhaust system uses multi-stage dry filtration. A cardboard labyrinth filter and fiberglass Paint Stop filter capture paint overspray, while the supply air is additionally filtered through G4 / EU4 filters.
Heating and Drying
- Maximum drying temperature: up to 60 °C
- Thermo-ventilation unit with heat exchanger
- Gas-fired or diesel-fired heating options
- Heated-air recirculation during drying
- Uniform airflow around the product surface
Operating Modes
- Painting: supply of filtered air and removal of paint overspray
- Purge: ventilation of the working area after coating application to remove residual overspray and vapours
- Drying: heating and air recirculation to maintain the preset temperature while reducing energy consumption
- Cooling: fresh-air supply after the drying cycle
Automation and Control
- Automatic control of the main operating modes
- Temperature and pressure monitoring
- Process-cycle timers
- Operating-hour counter
- Pneumatic control of airflow dampers
Equipment
- Retractable portal enclosure mounted on wheels
- Sealed double-leaf access doors
- Supply-air filter cassettes
- Exhaust ventilation unit
- Thermo-ventilation system
- Explosion-protected LED lighting
- Automatic control system
Main Benefits
- Mobility: rapid deployment without complex installation
- Compact design: minimal floor-space requirements when folded
- Large-product capability: products do not need to be moved into a fixed booth
- Energy efficiency: air recirculation during drying
- Easy installation: level-floor installation without a foundation
- Versatility: suitable for primers, paints, enamels and lacquers
Safety
- Construction made from non-combustible materials
- Explosion-protected fans and key ventilation components
- Automatic interlock prevents compressed-air supply to spraying equipment if ventilation stops
- Optional system for detecting and removing potentially explosive concentrations of paint mist
TWEKO MKFS series mobile paint-and-dry booths provide a complete painting area for large products without permanently occupying significant production floor space. The booth configuration can be adapted to product dimensions, process requirements and individual production conditions.
