The new LCMS-9030 Q-TOF mass spectrometer combines Shimadzu ultrafast quadrupole (Q) technology with a high-resolution time-of-flight (TOF) mass analyzer. The accumulated experience in the development and production of instruments for mass spectrometry allowed Shimadzu to create a liquid quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometer LCMS-9030, which successfully solves the most difficult tasks of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
LCMS-8050 and LCMS-8060 triple quadrupole chromato-mass spectrometers are used to perform analytical work that requires very high sensitivity. However, the presence of even highly sensitive triple-quadrupole devices does not allow solving another important task – reliable detection of the nature of all organic compounds obtained in the process of synthesis, including establishing their structure. LCMS-9030 chromato-mass spectrometer, which combines quadrupole and intermediate time mass analyzers, is effective for solving this problem. The design of the LCMS-9030 uses new patented technologies that provide a high level of mass resolution and accurate molecular weight determination. This is a determining factor in the identification of unknown compounds and establishing the structure of molecules. In addition to the default Electrospray Ionization (ESI) source, the LCMS-9030 can be equipped with an Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) source and a Combined Ionization Source (DUIS), which allows for simultaneous electrospray and atmospheric sample ionization pressure.
