If the previous model of the triple quadrupole chromato-mass spectrometer LCMS-8050 actually set a new standard for the speed of tandem instruments, the new model LCMS-8060 is designed to change the perception of the limits of sensitivity of modern analytical instruments.
The innovative UF-Qarray ion optics system focuses the flow of ions and, in combination with a heated gas ionization source and an advanced vacuum system, provides a significant amplification of target ion signal intensity. At the same time, the noise intensity does not increase and remains at the level characteristic of the previous model.
Thus, the signal-to-noise ratio reaches impressive values, making the LCMS-8060 model currently the most sensitive tandem liquid mass spectrometer on the market: the signal-to-noise ratio for the introduction of 1 pg of reserpine is greater than 750,000:1.
