VB400 is a vertical boring and milling machine built for heavy-duty diesel shops that need large boring and surfacing capacity. Boring range is 1.18″–14″ (≈30–260 mm). Standard supply includes a 16″ (≈406 mm) CBN milling head. The power head offers 36.3″ (≈922 mm) vertical travel; 22″ (≈559 mm) column-to-centerline clearance at the base and 74.8″ (≈1900 mm) table travel provide ample capacity for Cat 3412/3508 blocks.
Advantages:
- Infinitely variable spindle speed, boring feed and table traverse.
- Electronic dual-axis variable-speed table with joystick positioning — centers the spindle quickly and cuts setup time.
- CBN surfacing delivers high stock removal, excellent finish and long insert life.
- Rigid cast construction for accuracy on large blocks.
Standard equipment:
- CE-compliant electrical system
- CE-compliant safety guarding
- Tool-positioning device with rapid return at the end of boring
- AZ532 CBN milling head Ø400 mm
- AZ804 Spindle storage/loader fixture
- AZ838 Tool grinder with rests
- AZ501.61 Brazed tool for cast-iron at 45°
- AZ834 Tool measuring device (with tool)
- 320137 Edge clamp set (4 pcs)
- Service tools and Operating manual
- Parallel supports (VB400): 2 pairs — 300×570 and 120×595 mm
Control panel:
- All electronic functions are at your fingertips on a swing-arm console; indicators show spindle speed, head feed rate and table traverse speed.
CBN surfacing benefits:
- Typical feed up to 500–600 mm/min, stock removal up to 1 mm per pass; reversible circular CBN inserts handle ferrous/non-ferrous materials up to about 50–60 HRC.
