Interdepartmental Rail Transfer Cart, RTK, TWEKO

The TWEKO RTK interdepartmental rail transfer cart is an industrial rail-mounted platform designed to transport large workpieces and loads between production areas. The cart is moved by a wire-rope traction winch, allowing the electrical drive system to be located away from the working area.

The RTK can be used to transfer workpieces between painting, drying, washing, preparation and abrasive blasting areas. According to project requirements, the cart can be configured for areas with increased explosion and fire-safety requirements, including arrangements where electrical equipment is installed outside the hazardous zone.

Drive Principle

The RTK travels along a fixed rail track using a steel wire rope connected to a traction winch. The drive system generates the required pulling force and moves the platform between designated process positions.

Unlike self-propelled carts, the traction drive is not installed directly on the transport platform. This simplifies the cart itself and, when appropriately engineered, allows electrical components to be positioned outside potentially hazardous areas.

Platform Construction

The RTK is based on a heavy-duty welded steel structure. Longitudinal and transverse rigidity is provided by structural beams and channels that distribute the load across the running wheels.

Track Gauge

The cart can be manufactured for different track gauges according to the production layout.

Rails

Depending on the load and system configuration, suitable industrial rail profiles can be used.

• R18–R24 rails according to DSTU 3799-98 / GOST 6368-82
• R18–R24 rail-head width: up to 50 mm
• R38–R43 rails according to DSTU 2539-94 / GOST 30165-94
• R38–R43 rail-head width: approximately 70 mm
• End stops are installed at the ends of the rail track

Control System

RTK travel can be controlled remotely using a wireless radio controller. A stationary push-button station installed in the control cabinet provides backup control.

Configuration for Special Production Areas

According to individual technical requirements, the RTK can be engineered for areas with increased explosion and fire-safety requirements. In such configurations, the electrical drive, control cabinet and other electrical components are positioned outside the hazardous zone, while traction is transmitted to the platform by a steel wire rope.
