Combined surface and thickness planers FAHDITALIA FS 310 / FS 410 are designed for flattening solid wood workpieces and subsequently calibrating them to the required thickness. The machines combine surface planing and thickness planing functions in a single unit and are suitable for joinery workshops and small to medium-sized woodworking facilities where versatility, compact dimensions, and the ability to perform the main planing operations at one workstation are important.
The FS 310 and FS 410 models use a common cutterblock for surface and thickness planing and feature a powered workpiece feed system during thicknessing operations. The models differ in working width: the FS 310 has a 310 mm wide surface planing table, while the FS 410 provides a 410 mm working width. Maximum depth of cut is 5 mm, the thicknessing working height range is 4–225 mm, and cutterblock speed is 5000 rpm. If required, the machines can be equipped with an optional mortising unit, a TERSA cutterblock or XYLENT spiral cutterblock, as well as higher-power motors.
