The SERDI 3.5 is a high-precision multifunctional machine specifically designed for machining valve guides and seats in modern multi-valve cylinder heads of both automotive and motorcycle engines, as well as older passenger car engines. This machine is engineered to meet the stringent demands of modern engine designs, ensuring superior accuracy and reliability.
The SERDI 3.5 is equipped with a patented triple air-float head, a centering system, and an integrated spindle motor, making it ideal for high-precision valve seat machining. The machine’s machining range spans from 16 mm to 70 mm (0.6″ to 2.75″), making it versatile enough to handle a wide variety of engine types. The lightweight working head, combined with the triple air centering system, ensures minimal inertia and smooth movement, allowing for unparalleled centering accuracy.
The spindle motor is fully integrated, with a speed range of 40 to 840 RPM, powered by a 2.2 kW Siemens inverter. This provides a wide range of torque adjustments, even at the lowest speeds, ensuring consistent spindle rotation torque. The machine features digital readouts for both spindle speed and cutting depth, which enhances operational precision.
Constructed with a modern modular cast iron base, the machine is designed for increased rigidity. The machine also features a manual forward and backward shift for the cylinder head, with pneumatic clamping to secure it in place. The machine is also available with special edge-sharpening tools and a 360° flipping device for enhanced versatility. LED work lighting ensures excellent visibility during operation.
