The TOC-L CSN Total Organic Carbon Analyzer utilizes the Shimadzu-developed method of thermocatalytic oxidation at 680ºC. Unlike catalytic systems operating at 900ºC, the oxidation process at 680ºC prevents the formation of glass-like salt deposits on the catalyst. In these conditions, salts form a porous deposit that is easily washed off, ensuring long catalyst life. This temperature is sufficient to oxidize any organic molecules, allowing for quick and accurate determination of organic compounds in water across a wide range of carbon concentrations from 4 µg/L to 30,000 mg/L. The TOC-L series analyzers efficiently analyze various samples—from ultrapure water to heavily polluted wastewater. The TOC-L CSN model features dual control, making it even more versatile and user-friendly.
