    Cylindricality

    • A cylindricality measuring device is comparable to an exact center of rotation and a linear motion guide.
    • Cylindricity is quantified by measuring the change in radius of the actual contour of several cylindrical surfaces at different angles to the center of rotation using a displacement sensor in the guide.
    • It is used to measure the workpiece cylindricality contour shape error (roundness, cylindricity, flatness, straightness), position error (concentricity, alignment, runout, and perpendicularity).

    Measurement capabilities:

    • Cylindricality modulus: radial full jump, concentricity, taper, radius.
    • Modulus of roundness: concentricity, single radial jump, wall thickness difference.
    • Straightness modulus: parallelism, verticality
    • Single section flatness modulus: single axial jump, verticality and parallelism.
    • Multi-section flatness module: parallelism, full axial jump, verticality.
    • Switching module: single contact jump, adjacent contact jump, intermittent contact difference.
    • Reference standard for evaluating cylindricality: LSCY, MZCY, MICY, MCCY, OSCY.
