Equipment description
Crankshaft welding machine, CW400, AZ
CW400 is a crankshaft build-up welding machine using submerged arc welding (SAW). The electric arc melts the base metal and filler wire while a granular flux completely covers the arc, shielding it from the atmosphere and stabilising the process. This restores worn journals with a tough, uniform layer ready for final grinding.
Highlights & Benefits:
- Flux protection of the weld pool — no oxidation, lower fumes, safer working conditions.
- Tailor the flux/wire combination to achieve the required hardness of the deposit (typically ≈ 50–55 HRC).
- Consistent deposit suitable for precision finish machining.
- Works with standard welding fluxes and wires — no special consumables required.
Applications:
- Rebuilding crankshaft journals for passenger cars, trucks and industrial engines.
Standard equipment:
- Set of knurled feed rollers Ø0.8 / Ø1.0 / Ø1.2 mm (2 pcs each)
- Nozzle set Ø0.8 / Ø1.0 / Ø1.2 mm
- Straight torch Ø12 mm
- Bent torches Ø10 and Ø12 mm
- Air blow gun
- Service tools
- Operating manual
