Setting up and checking the functionality of the equipment
BAC2000 is a horizontal align-boring machine for main and camshaft bearing saddles. Its electro-welded steel base prevents structural deformation, while precision-machined surfaces and universal fixtures hold the work securely. Bar rotation is by belt and pulley with a 2 HP motor; the feed is gear driven with variable speed. Speeds and feeds have wide adjustment ranges to match block materials and bore sizes. Controls are placed close to the work area so the operator can monitor the process and adjust speed easily. A hallmark of the BAC series is the unusually long spindle travel up to 400 mm (other lengths on request), allowing fewer interruptions to reposition the tool.
Benefits:
- Rigid structure and repeatable accuracy for align boring of mains and cams.
- Belt-driven bar (2 HP) and variable-speed geared feed.
- Wide speed/feed ranges to suit materials and diameters.
- Extended spindle travel up to 400 mm — fewer tool resets and faster setups.
Standard equipment (BAC2000):
- Pair of arch supports with two dial gauges
- Bridge support for the boring bar
- Side clamp assembly (4 pcs)
- Bridge leveling support with dial gauge
- Tool setting device complete with tool (AZ706)
- Engine-block clamping device with bar
- Pair of parallel supports 230×600 mm
- Pair of parallel supports 100×600 mm
- Pair of parallel supports 145×400 mm
